Not enough Calories

I'm just starting Atkins, again, and am doing well with the carb intake but my calories are very low. Any suggestions on how to raise them without adding more carbs?

Ok your diet looks pretty good, except on atkins you need to up your fat intake. especially during induction. I would try instead of poaching your eggs, frying or scrambling them in butter or coconut oil. You can also make salad dressing out of 3 parts olive oil to 1 part balsamic with just a little lemon juice and basil is amazing, and adds fats and calories in a good way. Idealy on this diet you should get 50% of your calories from fat, it's a high fat, low carb, medium protein diet. I like to look at my pie chart, that really helps me know where I'm at. Also it looks like you eat a lot of fish and chicken, both are great cooked in butter, and chicken is awesome when stuffed with cream cheese and spinach with a stalk of green onion. Just keep allowing yourself more. Salami and pepperoni are great on this diet because they are really high in fat, low in carbs, and taste delicious. Bacon is another great option, but avoid sausage, it is carby. If you have anymore questions, just ask, I've been doing this a while, and am a really good cook, so I have all kinds of secrets, to making this work, and have amazing subs for mashed potatos and rice, that are low carb, and taste the same if not better than the real thing.

try cream cheese, mayo, heavy cream, olives, avocados, oils like coconut or olive. I don't know what phase you're in, but nuts are good too

Hummus (US spelling) is made from chickpeas and would be introduced in the legume rung of Atkins. Try upping your fat. Search for fatbomb recipes.

RND ROB you did it great but it is rarely applicable for everyone because of less motivation towards workouts we mostly try managing our weight through diet control so it is gonna be a harmful practice ...

Getting discouraged
everyone is different but I reckon if you allow yourself a cheat day it tricks your body into NOT holding on to weight. Some might disagree but as long as its just one a week or so you should still lose? ...

Thanks, so far so good. Got a new physically demanding job milking mooz :) down five kg already, just waiting for the plateau and will remind myself to just keep on track.
