Where'd all the nastiness come from?

One of the reasons I chose FS over other sites like Livestrong, WeightWatchers, and MyFitnessPal is that the people of FS are totally awesome and so supportive of their fellow losers. It is really disturbing to me to see how nasty things have gotten on the boards. I've been here for about 2 years now and this is the worst it's ever been.

Everyone should remember that they were new to weight loss themselves at one point and there is so much misinformation out the on the web that it's hard to figure out what's true and what isn't.

So, what do you do? You ask people with more experience than yourself. And then on FS forums, you now get shot down for being stupid.

I hope that this behavior doesn't continue. As a community, we should discourage this behavior of meanness. -- And as always - don't feed the trolls. If a thread goes nasty, it's best to just walk away. Some people just want attention - whether negative or positive, because they don't know the difference.

Found it, but...

I'm surprised it blew up. Usually people leave alone the trolls who are trying to push hokum and the gullible types who are looking for a fast and easy way to drop pounds quickly.

I haven't seen anything like this yet, but I agree, this should be a place of support, not bashing. We all want to encourage each other to be healthy, not discourage someone because they aren't sure what they are doing yet, or if they just have a question. Can't we all just get along!!

Eating too little?
Weight Watchers dropped the number of calories you could have the smaller you were. I would try dropping calories to 1200 per day.

I find this to be a key to my success. I plan at least 3 meals a week that I can also use to create lunch, love the crock pot great help I also make soup for the week. great go to when I am in a hurry ...
