Calculate Calories on Homemade Beef Jerky

I'm going to try making my own beef jerky. I've been using it to boost my protein but the store bought stuff is full of sodium and expensive. My question is does anyone know how I would go about calculating the nutrition on something like this? I want to be able to count I like I do all my other food.

When I cook something from scratch, I use 'submit a recipe', fill in everything and just save it rather than ask for it to be submitted. The system automatically calculates nutrients and splits it by portion. I just leave it in my cookbook and enter it into my food diary from there. Then the next batch I do I can always amend the details (eg on my protein muffins Im always playing with the fruit content)........ My receipes just sit in my cookbook as pending.

If you're going to be making your own jerky and not using a lot of salt. (Salt is what allows you to eat uncooked, dried meat) I recommend that you freeze the meat for a couple of weeks to try to kill any nasty microbials. Of course, that's still no guarantee that you'll make it safe to eat. And keep the jerky either frozen or in the refrigerator. It will go bad faster than high-salt jerky.
