think the best time is morning
but the best time regarding losing weight is afternoon or after dinner
cause u burn more by doing it this way
best of all would be starting after dinner
when u reach the hoped weight you begin running the morning

Morning. otherwise, the day gets away from you and life gets in the way.

I set a time rule if I have not exercised by 3:00 drop everything and exercise. It does not matter when you do it as long as you exercise daily.

I do my first round of exercise biking when I wake up to get my metabolism moving. After dinner, I hop back on to boost it up again before bed so it's still running and burning at least a few hours into my sleep cycle. So far, I've gone from 330ish to 288

I prefer mornings. But my husband gets home late and I don't get to sleep until he does. So I asked a workout buddy to join me after work. Knowing she is counting on me to show up helps motivate me not to say to myself, "too tired today... will try again tomorrow". But I definitely prefer mornings.

I think the best time is mid morning...after a good breakfast has time to provide the energy...but in reality the best time is whenever you have the time. You just need to have the drive to "just do it!"...make sure to stretch, then exercise...approx 150mins per week. I'm not a morning person & can't stop in the middle of my day, so I exercise about an hour after dinner...then relax.

I am definitely all for exercising in the morning. My endurance is better in the am especially when I run.

The truth is that there's no reliable evidence to suggest that calories are burned more efficiently at certain times of day. But the time of day can influence how you feel when exercising.

Exercise is a stressbuster for me, as well as a workout. I prefer to do it as soon as I get home from work; that way, I take all the stresses of the day out on the gym machines and not my husband, for which he is eternally grateful!! And I'm definitely a night owl, not a morning person, so I do feel I have more energy then. I exercise 3 - 4 times a week, for about an hour to an hour and a half. If I have to work late one night, I try to fit in an extra session at the weekend, when I have more time, or go for a good long walk with hubby; that way, I get to do a bit of exercise and we get to spend time together too ... win/ win Smile

I heard a talk by a retired biochemist recently who formerly was on the faculty at 3 different medical schools. He did research on diabetes as well. He said that exercising first thing in the morning before you had eaten burned the most fat. His philosophy was that exercising after you had eaten burned more sugar from your system rather than fat. Personally I think exercise ANY time of the day is good and the more the better.

It depends on you. I used to run for 10 kilometers every morning. I am a morning person.
But I have a new job and now I run in the late evening.
Running in the morning can be as peaceful as in the evening.
But!! Do not run just before the time you go to sleep (2 hours before min), just after eating (wait for 2 hours or you could have a vaso-vagal syncope), or when it is too warm outside.
Anyway, as long as you run, it can not be bad for your health. So, do what you like most, and drink a lot of water!

Surprised Please do not run just after eating! Your blood will be in the intestine, for digestion, and not in your muscles.
Careful!

I actually exercise morning AND night and do sets of 50 jumping jacks every hour. I think it's just up to what your body can take.

I have found that working out at night, about 30 mins after dinner, helps me go to sleep better. After my workout session I go shower and drink some protein before heading to bed. Works for me, but everyone is different.

I like workout in the morning. One reason know one can borther me.( my son) and it makes feel better about my day. If I put in all that work and eat something bad I will be disappointed with myself. More than likely will come home and eat everthing in sight.

The steak was 400g tasty and juicy but I still had to force feed the meal. Now as I sit my pulse is racing trying to digest it. A short walk may be in order to aid the process.
