Oopsie Roll Tips

I made Oopsie rolls the other night. I made the basic recipe but added 1-2 T of parmesan cheese and a little oregano (per a recipe I found). There seemed to be a creamy layer in the middle of the roll. Is this the cream cheese settled? They still were delicious but I'm wondering if I should have baked them longer or is that how they are supposed to be?

Sounds like you didn't bake them long enough. Your oven temperature could be off.

It's basically 3 eggs (separated), 1/4 tsp cream of tartar, dash of salt, 3 oz cream cheese. I then added 1-2 T of parmesan, dash of garlic powder and 1/2 tsp of oregano to the egg yolk mixture. There are other minor variations on the web.

And thanks evelyn, I actually have a lot of problems with my oven so it wouldn't surprise me if the temp was off. Next time I'll try baking them longer.

the best way I've found is to add the recipe to your cook book.

I measure them as raw going into the recipe as many of the cooked ones in the food choices may include other common ingredients, salt, sugar, fats and that is not indicated however the calories etc will ...
