It really depends on how many calories you burn the rest of the day. If you burn 2000 calories/day, then eat 1500 to lose 1 lb/week. Not exact science, but good starting point.

Have you lost weight on Atkins without exercise?

I started at about your weight 192. I'm female 65, have a smell frame and work at a desk all day but try to be fairly active when I'm not at work. I had to trim my calories down to averaging 1200 ...

Right, I wouldn't pay anyone. Find a plan that works and stick to it. There are lots of books at the library. Track your food on FS.
