Sherota, thanks so much. I had not noticed the tab up at the top for adding multiple items. Now I can put lunch items into the dinner section without having to search for each item again. It is harder to do it this way than the old way, though.

I agree it was easier other way. You can also find these tabs to the left of the drop down menu. The other tabs for Restuarants etc are interesting. I still miss the old copy features. Hopefully they will put these old time savers back on the site. It's the feature I miss the most since I do repeat meals frequently. Until then I will copy my most frequently eaten meals. Add it to my favorites, give it a name, and then copy it to the next day. Seems to be the only option for now. If anyone finds a better way to do this please let me know.

Hi all,

Thanks for all your feedback on the changes to the food diary.

We’ve been listening (and acting) and can report a couple of things:

- We’ve added back the copy yesterday’s/last week’s meal functionality – you’ll see the link at the bottom of your recently eaten items when that meal is empty
- We’ve added back displaying the food brand when you save it
- You still have access to the ‘add multiple items’ link from the top orange box on your food diary page so for example you can find and switch a food from one meal type (say dinner) to another (like lunch)

Sorry we didn’t communicate the changes better and thanks for helping us figure it out.

We will be working to make further improvements to the food diary and other parts of the site and welcome your feedback and suggestions.

Thanks for your support,
The FatSecret team Smile

YEAH!!! JUST COPIED MY LUNCH FROM TODAY FOR TOMORROW IN TWO SECONDS. GOT MY FAVORITE FEATURE BACK. POWER IN NUMBERS. THANKS FOR ALL OF YOUR COMMENTS AND TO "FATSECRET" FOR SHOWING YOU REALLY CARE ABOUT WHAT WE THINK. WOW A RESPONSE IN LESS THAN 24HRS. THAT'S TRUE CUSTOMER SERVICE. WE ALL COMPLAINED BUT NOW WE SHOULD APPLAUD "FATESECRET" FOR THEIR QUICK RESPONSE. SOME SAY ALL CAPITALS MEAN YOUR SCREAMING. NOPE. IN MY CASE I'M JUST EXTREMELY HAPPY. LITTLE THINGS MAKE LIFE WORTHWHILE. Very Happy

I really like this. I have to do fewer clicks and page loads to add foods to my day's food diary.

The new drop down menu 'improvement' and the inability to copy previous meals and foods into my current meal clearly shows that the IT dept is out of touch with what we want and expect. Maybe they are trying to shed users and reduce their server size.

The improvements within the last 24 hours are much better, and every change I requested in my email and on this forum was made. Thanks Fatsecret for making the changes and for actually emailing me personally!

I loved the quick customer service!

Did you not read the post that FatSecret just made about adding back the ability to copy previous meals and foods? They promptly responded to all the complaints that the users made about the new changes. I don't know what your problem is.

I don't know what your bossy problem is either. BITE ME. The menus have changed for no good reason.

Bossy? What did I say that was bossy? I said that I don't understand what your problem is, i.e., is there something else wrong with the food diary interface that wasn't addressed by the most recent changes and update from FatSecret? That's what I meant - I don't understand the problem that you are still having. Am I being bossy?

I might go over RDI if I bite you, so I'm going to pass on that one...

I am glad they responded by putting back some features that were there before. However, the drop down menu I hate. I don't give them too much credit for halfway fixing what they messed up. They never once asked us what we wanted before they did it. I was very happy with the way it was, and I think most of us were. Of course, the website is free for us to use, so I guess we don't get to complain too much.
