Here's a question about fuel for a hard workout.

I will run a very hilly 5 mile road race on Sunday, and though I've raced a lot before, I actually think I could do really well in this one. Here's the rub: my husband says I shouldn't worry about maintaining a calorie deficit for the next three days in order to fuel my body well for the race. What do you think?

I have often struggled with serving the dual masters of fuel for training and trying to lose weight simultaneously, and have often thought that I should concentrate on one or the other.

Thoughts?

Any great tips for what's best to eat leading up to the race?

Hi guys. This is my reading for the day. Fat: 48.78 Carbs: 14.08 Sugar: 4.18, Nett Carbs 9.18 and Protien: 28.21 and Cals: 590. Does this sound right.
