Whether you weigh in every day or once a week I'm curious if I'm the only one that does this...
I don't automatically record a loss on the scale until I am able to see that number or lower at least two days in a row. Some may consider this "cheating," but I don't want to have to record a gain the next day if the lower weight was a fluke.

I try to stick with a once a week weigh in and record whatever it says. My weight is so up and down all week that only doing once a week (the same day and time each week) seems more consistent and I'm not beating myself up on that one day my weight is up.
Goal 3: 125 whenever I get there
Goal 2(restart): 130 by May 25th (2013 vacation)
Goal 1: 135 by May 24th (2012)~~~~Accomplished!

I record exactly. It helps me see patterns.

Not that my stupid ticker OR challenges show this because they aren't updating. GRR>

I'm doing Biggest Loser right now so I'm micro managing everything. I record every day.

I too record daily, no matter if I lose or gain. It helps me stay accountable and it shows me how my decisions affect my weight. Also, it helps me having a pack of buddies get on my butt when I do bad for too long (and I TRULY APPRECIATE THAT!).

When I was on my weight loss journey, I weighed in EVERY week and recorded it - whatever the result, loss, gain or staying the same. I am now in maintenance (and have been for about 9 months) so only weigh in occasionally, just to check... I mainly go on how my clothes tell me I'm doing.

I record whatever it says on my weigh-in day. Up or down.
I also record everything almost to the point of obsession. So if I have gained and I know/can see that I've eaten well that week, then the "gain" is transient (Water or something else, which hasn't yet passed through my system.

I weigh once a week and I record what's there.
Your weight will fluctuate, especially if you weigh everyday, but like many others have said, it's easier to detect patterns if you record honestly. There's nothing to be gained by trying to fake yourself out -- particularly if you're hesitant to record a drop in weight. If you bothered to weigh, there's no reason not to record.

I weigh in once a week [same day, same time;] and I take a water pill the night before [regularly] This helps me know that my loss/gain is actually 'meat' [?fat/?muscle?]
This helps me stay on my program/food plan, and it holds me very much accountable for my actions...

I record every single day as well. It sucks too see gains and have my graph look like a rollercoaster but i think its good. Since all calories aren't created equal. It shows me what my body did and didn't digest the day before!

I am following Weight Watchers Online and I record exactly what the scale says whether if it is a gain or a loss! I feel I am only cheating myself.

I weigh daily. I'm always afraid I will miss the down days if I weigh once a week. But I mainly record only my losses. However, after being on vacation for two weeks and not eating right I did record my gain of four pounds.(Didn't think that was too horrible) I got back on the Atkins way of eating and have lost my vacation weight already. Over all I am down 30 pounds since November. And my ticker isn't updating either!
