I get a weird sort of "something stuck" feeling at the back of my mouth/throat area (about where the uvula base is) when I drink more than 1 litre of pure water.

The same goes for more than 2 cups of Green tea.

It's not painful or anything, just wondering if anyone has experienced the same or knows how to fix it?

Thanks <3

Are you drinking the 1 liter all at once? You could have reflux or a hiatal hernia or any number of things, or nothing. If your concerned, ask your doctor or dentist.

How strange...I've never felt anything like that before. Last week I drank 1.5 litres all at once (for medical reasons) and although I felt rather sick after drinking so much, I didn't get the kind of feeling you're describing. Perhaps it might be best to visit your doctor?

Do you have any issues with acid reflux? That would be my first guess.

^ I would second that one. I get acid reflux and sometimes have the same feeling you're describing. Medication can reduce the amount of acid you're body produces if it's that.

Thanks for the replies and apologies for the delay in responding!

I have no issues with acid reflux, as far as I have ever experienced. Maybe once in 6 months I have to take an antacid, but other than that, nothing.

The drinks are staggered throughout the day, with maybe 500ml being drunk in 1 go (to finish a cup of tea to be given another, for example) but nothing more than that.

Only ever had it happen with pure water and green tea - never dilute squash or anything else.

I need to go to my doctor soon about something but usually their comments are "don't worry about it" -.-

Are you drinking enough water? How is your salt consumption? When I crave sweets I drink a glass of water and if still craving I eat a pickle. Usually does the trick. If not I eat a few pieces of fruit.
