None of them are particularly healthy, nor are they necessary. Just eat healthy, natural food.

If you really want to "cleanse", become vegetarian for a week. I don't mean a grilled-cheese-sandwich vegetarian, either, but one who eats mostly fresh vegetables. Buy your food from the produce section, not the middle of the store.
Roast squash. Grill asparagus. Make great big salads and dress them with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and fresh herbs. Saute spinach. Snack on apples, berries, homemade kale chips.
Get your proteins from legumes, eggs, nuts, whole grains.

I'm just finishing a 4-day cleanse & have done 3 or 4 cleanses in the last couple years. They have been wonderful for me & although the first 2 days are tough, after that I feel better & more energetic than ever. But, I know they are not for everyone. I'm fortunate to have 2 local raw food restaurants where I've gotten my cleanses which generally include 1 or 2 green juices, 1 or 2 green smoothies, a soup and some days a flavored water and/or chia seed pudding. I'm a very healthy eater, but when I feel I'm getting off course, a cleanse has helped get me back on track. Plus, its nice not to have to plan or prepare meals for a few days. Good luck!
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

In the deep past I'd start a regimen with a two or three day juice fast, using mostly things like kale, spinach, ginger, carrots, lemon juice, maybe half an apple or pear tossed in for sweetness. It's a massive dose of concentrated nutrients, great for kickstarting the metabolism, and you'll rid yourself of old cruft you may have hanging around your GI tract. You really can feel the positive effects. You can get a centrifugal juicer for around $40 or so at Kohl's or Wal-mart.
I recently received a Nutribullet as a gift, and it has many of the same benefits, although at a slower pace I think. A huge benefit is that you get to keep all the fiber which helps you feel full, lets you do things like puree nuts and seeds, and it's a lot cheaper because you don't need nearly as many veggies, mushrooms, nuts, seeds and the like to produce it in drinkable quantities.

A lot of people have had luck with raw juice fasting. See youtube for how it's done. There are a bazillion videos by people who have done it.
10 days is standard, but one morbidly obese guy stayed on for 100 days and lost 141 pounds. He only made 2 videos, so there's no way to know if he kept any of the weight off.
If you do that, you will definitely need your own juicer and a plan to have enough vegetables and fruit in your house to make several quarts of juice every day.

It may be important to remember that the most important fast is the one between dinner and breakfast. If you've ever had blood work done you know that they ask you fast for 12 hours beforehand to get an accurate reading. If you always eat at night, then your liver is busy turning all that glucose into fat while you sleep, and that goes triple if you have insulin issues.

Question: What is the advantage to "juicing" the food rather than just eating it whole?
Man who say it cannot be done should not interrupt man doing it.

Sauerkraut has a nice "cleansing" effect for me.

There is none. It's actually worse for you since you don't get the fiber.

Companies that promote their juicing products couch the "benefits" in pseudo-scientific terms, with no data to back up their claims.

Here's an even better explanation:

People do it because juicing makes it possible to consume more vegetables and fruit. A person could turn 3 pounds of vegetables into a quart of juice and drink it, where they could in no way eat those 3 pounds of vegetables, especially raw.

..which should be completely unnecessary if they were eating a normal, balanced diet of whole foods.

So? I was explaining why people might do it, since you said you couldn't imagine why they would.

I have tried cleansing before. My problem with the process is that my blood sugar drops and by the afternoon I start shaking and my brain gets foggy.

great I was just going to order a juicer after watching a few documentaries on Netflix, and use that to replace maybe breakfast. Seemed so healthy getting all those nutrients in one dose (not saying I don't eat my veggies but it would be hard to consume the amount that you would juice and I feel like maybe sometimes our bodies are starving for nutrients it may be missing) just wanted to supersize it

Simply add a fresh sqeezed lemon to every glass of water that you drink.
1 whole lemon to every 16oz and this pulls out a lot of impurites in your body
While leaving you hydrated without harsh effects. You will loose A LOT
Of water weight beacause you will pee a lot lol i do it alot and it helps me

Even though fat doesn't count in Atkins, it can cause you to gain or not lose weight if you consume too much. Be careful of over eating this nutrient. ie: cream, cream cheese.
