I cannot believe how bad I have been and that I actually weigh almost what I did when I was 9 months pregnant...so upset.

Don't beat yourself up over your weight. Use it as a taking off point and move forward. What works best for you? Low carb is the only method I can stick with for longer than a few weeks. I cannot do that method either unless I incorporate LOTS of nonstarchy vegetables. Fat and protein keep me satisfied and I eat less. You can be successful. Baby steps are best - learn what works for you and your body.

What did you learn from your mistakes?

Hint: your problem wasn't that you were "bad" and need to be "good" instead. If you've picked a diet you can't stay on indefinitely, you should look for one that you can.

I know that it is difficult but you've got to just keep trucking forward.

I know how that feels, I am at that spot too, but my kicker was my 3 year old son was snuggling with me, and rubbed my belly and said--Mama, you sooo soft...Aww I thought....then he asks: Mama--you got baby in here?? very earnestly...but it crushed me...that a 3 year old thinks I'm pregnant, that means everyone else probably does too. UGH.
We started Atkins the next week.
It feels horrible to have gotten this fat.

Getting discouraged

New to Posting
Hi all. I am new to posting here. Love the feeling that I am not doing this alone. I have lost 40, 40 more to go. How do you add the pounds lost bar at the bottom of your post? That is encouraging! ...
