I joined Fatsecret and starting using their logs about 3/4 of the way through my diet. So far I've lost 25 pounds with 7 more to go to my goal weight, this total loss is not shown in my fat secret info since I joined later in the diet. Is there a way to go back to a previous date and enter my beginning weight?

I've tried changing the date using the calendar on the weight log page but it doesn't allow me to click on any other dates.

click on my fatsecret in the green bar at the top. this takes you to your home page. then on the right side under my toolbox, click on my diet. this will let you enter historical weight.

gkcfm, thanks for the help, I've been trying what you've suggested but I am getting the following errors:

After choosing "Enter a Historical Weight", and choosing March 16 as the date and entering my real beginning weight I am met with this pop up message: "The date you have chosen is on or before your most recent weight entry date. Select OK to continue".

After hitting OK the page reloads and I am met with this error: "The date overlaps with values you have recorded on an earlier diet. Save not permitted."

April 23rd is as far back as I go with fatsecret currently yet it says going back to March 16 to put a weight in is overlapping an earlier diet.

On your profile it says FatSecret member since: 25 Apr 11.

I'm thinking you can't enter info prior to you signing up. But I'm not sure why it would let you go back to April 23 if you joined April 25.

Yeah, that's probably the issue, trying to go past my reg date. Its not a big deal, I can always just mentally add those pounds to what I've lost. Hell, if this is the biggest complaint I've found with this system in over a month now I'd say fatsecret is doing pretty good, lol.

Thanks again.

I'm having that same issue and it is driving me insane. I cannot enter my historical weighs without an error message saying it is overlapping a previous diet, which there is NOT one. It listed my start weight as 10lbs lighter than reality, which doesn't show true loss or the true status bar...

I've tried the date before I joined, the date of joining, and days after joining to make it accurate and it will not let me. I've tried deleting the first 2 weeks of induction where some weird glitch stopped and restarted my diet in the same day, and still that does nothing! I'm at my WITS END here. I need this site to accurately register the correct start date and weight. WHY IS THIS SO DAMN IMPOSSIBLE?

All i can do is change the start weight, but it puts the date 2 weeks later than reality. Trying to add historical weights I get error message no matter what date I put in.

It's crazy that two years later this is still not working right. I can't select a date on the calendar at all. When I select Change Start Weight I get the same dialogue box saying that I have an overlap. I can't even get it to select a different date on the calendar because nothing I click on gets selected. I tried Firefox and Explorer. What are other people using that even allows you to click on a date and select it?

Also, I was able to enter historical dates but now my weight graph bar chart thing zig zags all over the place. Boo.

I started with the wrong date and weight, so put in historical figures. But now my weight tracker graph is messed up! The app should be able to recalculate the graph by date. It's annoying.
