I am 47 and have about 90# to lose. I was on this site faithfully for almost 2 years and then decided I could handle it on my own and gained everything back and then some. The accountability this site offers is very important in keeping me focused. I find the less accountability I have, the more lax I am!
I'd love to add you as a friend. I'll help and encourage as much as I can.
I am starting a walking challenge next week too. That's an exercise I can handle and I enjoy it. If anyone wants to join me, please feel free. Last time I did the walking challenge, I felt so much better and slept better too.
** Goal 1- 20 pounds- 4/30/2013
** Goal 2- get back down to wearing size 16 jeans
** Goal 3- normal blood pressure
** Goal 4- well below "One" Derland
** Goal 5- 600 miles this year in 200 mile increments
** Goal 6- Decreased back and knee pain
Blessings,
Sherill

My apology to all for not responding throughout the posts - I've only recently figured out how to navigate through this site better and find these type things. Thank you all for posting and reminding me I'm not alone here. This 'found post' was great - like finding a forgotten $50 in the pocket of a jacket! Let's make this the best year ever of achieving our goals and being good to ourselves.

Hi, I'm new, just started today. I'm 61 and want to loose the 10 lbs I gained back this last year. Was on Weight Watchers and quit following the program. Am borderline diabetic and need to keep my weight down and get regular exercise. I don't have any buddies yet.

I'm 57. I'm not sure how much more weight I will lose. I am in the "desired" bodyfat range, but I think that doesn't mean that much at this age. I want to be lean, and I have been putting on muscle with weight lifting. So I think I probably will reach my size or bodyfat goals before my weight goal, and I'll stop.

I'm 63 (5ft 7inches tall). I lost 55lbs last year. Hope to lose another 10lbs and to change my body composition with more weight training.

I started last May. I'm 55 and have lost 60 lbs using this site. I maintained from Thanksgiving to New Years, and I'm back to watching my diet again. I have 80 more to go!

Hey, I'm 48 myself and wants to loose 80-85 lbs over the course of this year. Planning to sign up with a gym or maybe do some walking instead. I'm usually good at dieting and loosing weight but I never keep the weight off as I love food. As my age creeps up my metabolism rate creeps down so I guess I'll try a lifestyle change this time around.
I wish you lots of success and strength with your challenge and hopefully we can give each other well earned virtual pats on the back at the end of the year...

Hello All! I am soon to be 52 and have lost 40 pounds since February 14th. Still have another 70 to go. I have been attending Weight Watcher meetings. I really need the accountability of someone else seeing the number on the scale.
I am looking for a weight loss buddy if anyone is interested.
Thanks and have a great day!

Hi Dreamspinner! If you ever need a buddy to talk to or advice, please feel free to contact me. I had 140 pounds to lose and have lost 35 so far and going strong. If you really want this, you have the power to make it happen.

I'M 69, can anyone possibly be older? I want so much to get the dreaded
sticky last few pounds off. It is just as hard to lose 10 pounds as 100.
I can get within 2 pounds of my goal and drop the ball. Is there some
secret fear of success?
