Does anyone have feedback on Vitamix vs.Ninja or other options for "super blenders"? I have to be on a soft diet for a couple months, and a friend leant me his Vitamix - which is an amazing machine, but they are definitely pricey.
I like the fact that the Vitamix can puree virtually anything - it truly makes an amazing tomatoe basil soup.

I have a vitamix and it is awesome! The vitamix can even turn grains into flour which is a great way to make fresh pancakes.

I used to have a vitamix. Compared to a real blender, a real juicer, and a real flour mill I always thought it was useless. It tried to do so many things but did none of them particularly well.
When I got divorced and moved out, it apparently didn't come with me, and I didn't miss it for 10 years, when I had a papier mache project I wanted to do.

I got a Ninja Pulse for Christmas and I love it. I've never used a Vitamix so I don't know how they compare. I love the individual drink cups for mixing smoothies, it pulverizes anything I put in it. I use it almost daily.

Does anyone have insight to the NutriBullet by the Magic Bullet folk? I've heard it described as a poor man's Vitamix, and wonder how it compares. Guess I'll go check the Amazon review.

The question is, what is it you are trying to do with the thing?

I'd be interested in feedback on the nutri-bullet too. I've had it in my Amazon cart for a week reading reviews but after being so let down with the blender I'm wary. I want what the infomercials promise -the ability to toss ina mix of fruits & veg & ice and make a nice quick healthy blended smoothie with quick cleanup.

I bought a Nutribullet and absolutely love it! Quick, easy to use, pulverizes everything into a nice drinkable drink! I don't add ice to mine just cold water, but I will try ice one day to see how that does. I put 2 cups greens in, 2 cups fruit, some ground flax seed and water. Presto! I usually have an egg or bowl of oatmeal to go with it so I can get enough calories. So far so good on the NutriBullet for me! Oh and if you register with Bed Bath & Beyond you can get a coupon for 20% off so it made it cost even less for me! Happy weight loss!

I just couldn't spend that kind of cash on a vitamix or Ninja BUT, last summer I posted a thread and I was between the Ninja Pulse and the Cuisinart CPB-300 SmartPower. I went with the Cuisinart because it came with more cups and was more compact for leaving on the counter. With the BB&B coupon for 20% off I got it for about 53.00 I think. Used daily and pretty harshly with ice etc for about 8 months now and no problems what so ever. I had a bullet and it died after about 4 months and I didn't put quite the "ice beating" on it that I have this one. Good luck!

I have a blender by the brand Oster and I use it almost everyday for ice. No problems and I have had it for almost 3 years. Cost me 60 bucks.
