Is exercise part of your lifestyle? That really, really helps. I know it's a little uncomfortable if you haven't gone in awhile, but it will work and if you keep it up, and will help keep you regular. Try some vigorous walking for 30 minutes or more, or a slow jog, or some time on an elliptical trainer. These will engage your muscles and gravity will help your bod do its thing. But only if you drink enough water. My track coach used to tell us to PCC: Pee Copious and Clear.
