Bloating and ermm...well you know

Ok..so I've started eating healthier this last week and I think my body is in shock. I am drinking water...probably not as much as I should though. My problem is I feel terribly bloated and am not going to the bathroom like I think I should.

I've never been a regular kinda gal anyway, but this is crazy.(I'll spare you the details because there aren't many..LOL)

I did search the forums to see if there were any other suggestions. Maybe it's just an adjustment for my body. I've cut out alot of the white bread/pasta this past week.

I'm afraid to even weigh in! Sad

Your body is adjusting to the new diet - give it time and the bloating will go away. Eat more fiber and drink more water - it'll help a lot.
I should go away in 1-2 weeks if you stay consistent.

I agree with the above posts. For the bathroom thing drink lots of fliuds, eat roughage and if you diet allows prunes. So sweet almost like candy. Smile
Good luck I am sure with sticking to your routine it will all deflate!

Is exercise part of your lifestyle? That really, really helps. I know it's a little uncomfortable if you haven't gone in awhile, but it will work and if you keep it up, and will help keep you regular. Try some vigorous walking for 30 minutes or more, or a slow jog, or some time on an elliptical trainer. These will engage your muscles and gravity will help your bod do its thing. But only if you drink enough water. My track coach used to tell us to PCC: Pee Copious and Clear.

I think it's worth reiterating the small impact exercise actually has. Check out the amount of calories you burn on your Exercise page simply sleeping and resting. Mine says I burn about 2,100. ...

Better for me, certainly...for anyone else, who knows?! I've lost the 25kg I put on when I developed a chronic disability. I couldn't exercise much - mostly not at all and still am very limited ...
