Skin Ripping Stretch Marks

Stretch mark question: Does this happen to anyone else? A bummer about trying to be not as fat is that your own past fatness is sometimes an obstacle. Ex: I have stretch marks on my thighs from gaining weight in the past. They hurt. A lot. They seem to hurt/stretch another notch everytime I go up OR DOWN in weight more than a couple pounds. So, if I have a real bad week, they hurt and stretch further in a very delicate area. If I have a great week, am eating right, and exercising so much, they also hurt and rip further. So, no more working out 3 days in a row, apparently. Not good for longterm. Now I have to be even more planful and disciplined to get in the same amount of exercise. That means that I'll inevitably do less, because I won't be perfectly planned 100% of the time. Past decisions leading to future pain, even when trying to undo bad past decisions.
Workout #13 of new year, by January 20. Atypical. Only do 2 days in a row now, so skin doesn't rip further.

Any chance you can wrap an ace bandage around the affected area, or wear compression clothing? I can't say this has happened to me, I have some stretch marks from losing weight but they don't really hurt; however I tend to wear tight spandex clothing when I work out to reduce jiggle, mostly because its annoying. Maybe it keeps skin from hurting too? I wish I knew.

Compression clothing may help and also, get some stretch mark cream and also some pure shea butter and put that on many times daily. Your skin needs help, that is why it is hurting, its asking for help.

Definitely shea or cocoa butter and compression garments. Stretch marks occur as a result of skin being too dry to stretch normally and you get the small tears. Ive had stretch marks since I was 11 and my hips got huge lol I have terribly dry skin though which is why I got them so easily. Drink lots of water, use lotions made for excessively dry skin and slather on cocoa/shea butter at night before bed. It can be too greasy to use daily. Hope it helps!

I have worn compression pants and tops for the last 3 months or so...and they really help. (if you live somewhere cold like i do, there are two benifits!)

You can also use natural oils like lavander or rose hip to help the burning type pain.
Fat is HARD....Fit is HARD...Which HARD do you choose???

Although I have not experienced the pain of ripped stretch marks I do have some really nasty ones all over. I have really dry skin and find that applying lotion straight out of the shower helps.

Bio oil and get your blood tested to chech b12 levels, sometimes if your diet is low in b12 or if your body has become unable to absorb it this can make your skin feel really tender. Don't let it stop you losing though, if you look after it and check your bloods it will settle in the end once the pressure has been removed from it by losing the excess weight
