I was trying to think of something that I could post to give an idea of what I had lost by now. It's been ages since I took a photo where I am holding what I lost, as I simply can't carry it.

Then it dawned on me that I could post this picture. I may not be carrying anything, but Wife weighs just about what I lost - and this should give you an idea. Smile

Someone who is busier than you is working out right now.
There will come a day when you can no longer do this. Today is not that day.

I've always pictured not a single object, but a pyramid of 1 pound packages of lard on the table at a party where I was celebrating reaching my goal.

Nice to see this thread revived! If nothing else, that pic of me and Wife motivates me to get back to that weight - Let's go! Smile

Like this idea. One day when I'd lost about 40lbs I was taking MH to the hospital and as I lifted his 35lb wheelchair into the car I groaned and then thought 'wow.. I've lost a wheelchair... when I was actually headed toward needing one myself.'

Now I've lost two wheelchairs.

Not saying your weight was caused by lard, EKath, but I like the connection of that idea.

What if we took pics in front of the junkfood equivalent of what we've lost. How many pizza's does it take to stack up to 70+lbs? How many gal's of BlueBell Ice Tin Roof Sundae Ice-cream? Instead of dog food, could you imagine a 50lb bag of M&M's Smile

Great thread.

Hi Kingkeld,
Firstly let me say your weight loss looks great and secondly lifting the same weight; as one has lost, is an ab fab idea. I definitely be trying this, right after my dance workout.
Cheers to you
Mary

weigh in
Good luck! I weigh in every day which has to stop. It is too easy to get caught up in the excitement of seeing the scale drop so much in a week-that is because of water weight I am sure.

Need suggestions on healthy/low-calorie foods.
You can use shakes for a few days. I have used the Atkins shakes and they are very good tasting. Soups are good though as stated above you may have to puree them. You could puree or blend cottage cheese ...
