The holiday is booked and now I just need the motivation to get that summer beach body. Keep starting diets and keep failing so thought I'd give this a try. Good luck with the diets all you people out there

What sort of mistakes did you make, and how do you intend to deal with those situations so they don't come up again?

Successful weight loss and long-term weight maintenance is a result of developing strategies that will keep you from repeating misjudgments.

The only time I've really lost weight is when I've had the determination to do so. If I manage to get in the right 'head space' then I'm fine. Just having trouble getting there right now. I do 4 classes a week, so exercise isn't a problem. It's persuading myself that I don't want chocolate and crisps that is the biggest one. So far so good today though as I had a salad, yogurt and lots of fruit for lunch. It's the evenings that are my worst time.

I think it's a great idea. I always print out a picture of a bikini that I want to order and hang it on the fridge. It helps me keep a positive attitude and not give into my cravings.

Good idea. I also have a photo of me when I was heavier than now, that I hate, so that could be another to put on the fridge. I was ill 3 years ago and lost almost 3 stone, but it's been creeping back on and I want to loose it again.

Well good luck with those challenges. There must be a good reason you feel you can't have just one of the carb, lower calorie beers. I admire your discipline and determination.

weigh in
Good luck! I weigh in every day which has to stop. It is too easy to get caught up in the excitement of seeing the scale drop so much in a week-that is because of water weight I am sure.
