Hi all! I've never had a buddy on this site and thought it might help keep me motivated. I can also help keep YOU motivated. I'm 43, 1 teenage daughter, married 14 years, hobby farmer, and office manager at a dental clinic. If anyone is interested in being my buddy for the Atkins Diet, please reply to this post or "buddy" me.

Welcome ,

I started the Atkins induction phase last week and I would enjoy having you as a buddy.

We all need buddy's for support to keep us going even on bad days and believe me I have a lot of them.

My weight

Jan 29 : 219 lbs
Feb 5 : 212 lbs
Feb 12 : 209.2 lbs

Mini goal : loss 6 lbs a month

Long term goal : Get down to 160 lbs by the end of summer and to be able to keep it off.

👍 to everyone who completed their journals, good or bad it doesn't matter, because you took the time to keep track of it. That's the first step to success.

I hope everyone had a good day 😃

I started Atkins back in Sept '12 but the holidays/stress really got me off track. Looking forward to getting back to what I know works. I know I need to make sure I'm tracking my food, so having buddies will help keep me accountable. Here's to all of us succeeding in 2013!!!

I have but not this time round. First two times around it was horrible and took like a week to get rid of. drink broth or bullion it helps. Also eat something, it will help. I go for a crystal light and it usually works. Its only temp and will go away just push thru it

I am new here and also could use some friendly encouragement and quite possible a kick in the pants on occasion. (hopefully a loosely fitting pair of pants) Smile

I'm back on atkins too, and getting a little disheartened that I gained half a pound today, I've lost 47 pounds in a year from various diets, 26 to go to my target weight of 147. Just a little upsetting when I've hit the treadmill every day and stuck to the rules, I think I have one of those bodies thats really resistant to weight loss.

I hate when that happens jasmine. While it's easy to just give up, is it really worth it? Stick with it, things will start going in the down direction again.

Hi all! I could use an Atkins buddy as well.
I have been doing a half-way version since November 2012- I knew that I just wouldn't stick to a strict plan thru the holidays, so I just tried to limit my carbs most days, and gave myself permission to go a little nuts from time to time, then get on with it. I just signed up here yesterday, looking to really get with the program for the next few months and maybe see the scale move a little more quickly. I have already lost about 13 pounds in the last 3 months, but have a lot more to go (like 80+ lbs uggh!).

I need a buddy too. Man o Man the new atkins is so different. I don't like it as much but I have been on induction a week and haven't lost weight. Look a little better in my clothes though. So sign me up for a buddy system.
