Just a quick question. Why do you want to lose the weight.
Besides health and looks (which go without saying). What are the little things you are looking forward too when you get to your goal.

For me it's all about clothes:

Buying clothes off the rail in any shop.

Clothes which aren't vastly overpriced for zero quality.

Clothes which are actually the right scale (How many of you own a t-shirt that was clearly scaled up straight from "normal" sizes without thought that people's arms tend not to increase as much as their chest and waist so have giant arms holes

Some vague semblance of consistency in sizing. I have 2xl t-shirts which fit me... I have 5xl's which are too tight. Seriously!

What are yours?

42" jeans(25/01/2013) 40"(28/02/2013) 38"(20/03/2013) 36"(25/05/2013)
Down from 60" waist jeans since June 21st 2012.

Still keeping to my 26" jeans, but they are too tight for comfort. too many tasty things in the US, and over Xmas.

Onwards and Downwards! Smile

If you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired in the morning, noon, and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired.-George W Patton

For me it's being able to play hockey better. Losing weight and getting stronger will make me a better player all the way around. Being in better shape will give me more stamina and strength which will lead to better skating, passing and shooting.

My progress has been really rapid! I have to admit it worries me a little whether I will lose my momentum when I up my calories to a more sustainable weight loss level in a couple of weeks.

Then I come here and the encouragement from everyone reminds me that its as joint effort and how much a it all helps!

One of the best things for me has seriously been being able to fit comfortably in an airplane seat (I have only flown economy - no first class luxury here!). I used to spread out so that the arm rests wouldn't stay down and the tray table was dangerously close to my belly.

Oh! And also to be able to cross my legs comfortably Smile

IT NEVER GETS EASIER - YOU JUST GET BETTER.

Literally at the minute... I've strained a tendon and can't use one of them.

When I lose 100lbs I'm going to race my grandson's at the go-karts. When I took them last Summer I sat on the sidelines - even though the clerk assured me I'd 'fit' I didn't risk it as imagined the difficulty I'd have getting up OUT of the go-kart. I also want to ride in a hot air balloon.

I'm not losing WEIGHT. I'm converting FAT to MUSCLE to be healthier.

no more thinking about chaffing between the legs and going on hikes with friends and not being the last in the group, gasping for breath, on the hilly parts.

I'd like to be able to prop myself up with pillows in bed and type on the computer, as I am doing now, but with no rolls of fat on my belly.

Next summer when I have acheived my target weight, I will once again climb Glenwood Canyon to a beautiful place called, Hanging Lake". It is a "difficult" rated trail, but as I huffed and puffed my way up it this past summer (taking numerous breaks along the way), I was passed by a woman who was blind and a woman who was a breast cancer survivor. These two truly inspirational women and their supporters convinced me that that only person who could change me is me. The only person holding me back is me becuase you can do whatever you put your mind to. Another inpsiration along the trail was the Air Force Academy Hockey team - they were RUNNING the trail for fitness. Wow!

I can't wait to climb the trail once again with my teenagers as hanging lake is such a truly beautiful place. It is worth every step of the trail.

I just had beautiful, healthy twin girls six and a half weeks ago. Though I am only in my mid-20s I want to make sure I can always keep up with them. Plus I want to be a good example for them. I got huge during my pregnancy so for my own self esteem and relationship with my husband I want to get back to my old self.

I can sympathise with that mama. I've gained a lot with my pregnancies too. 20kg with my 6month old! So getting my body back and feeling attractive is a big deal. Plus I'll be 30 this year.
Health aside I'm hanging out for the day my thighs stop rubbing so I can comfortably wear skirts again.

This may seem dumb but...I really wanna see how life is when you have a normal weight. I have been chubby since ever,so I guess I never had the chance to experience that. I wonder how it is to shop relaxed without going straight to the L and XL ones.
I just need to feel good about myself.
In less than 2 weeks I will be 20 years old,and I think the time has come.
Happy New Year to everybody!

p.s. Sorry for any mistakes,English is not my native language! Smile
