Well I am just starting. I heard it really helps to document and to work with others. So here I am. I had lost 17 lbs but the holidays came and I have lost ground. I am putting my foot down and I am going to stop the bleeding and turn this around. I wish I felt more confident. One foot in front of the other is all I can do right now.

You're right - you can only do so much, so don't be too hard on yourself! Losing some ground here and there is bound to happen, but as long as you identify it and make the necessary adjustments, you'll be fine! Keep on trucking!
Someone who is busier than you is working out right now.
There will come a day when you can no longer do this. Today is
not
that day.

I know the feeling, I had lost 20 and some odd pounds and I was so proud of myself! then I got busy with school and work and let my eating habits slack, I gained 13 back
I'm so frustrated because had I not, I would probably be at my goal weight by now. This is just another challenge to kick butt like th first time. I will be in a bikini this summer!

Documenting and evaluating changes needed is a great place to start. You sound like you already have the motivation and drive to accomplish whatever you put your mind to. Self confidence will wane once in awhile, but just like when you fall down you get back up dust yourself off and continue on.
You can do this and there are thousands of members on here willing to support those who ask for it. Good luck and take care.
