Workout Playlist

Who are some good artists to put on a playlist. I have 2 different playlists...one is a Christian playlist and the other is my rap playlist. In my own mind I feel like I can't combine the two. Smile Doesn't seem quite right listen to Shoulder Lean by Young Dro then Live Life Loud by Hawk Nelson.

I am looking for some awesome artist ideas to put on either playlist.Cool

I listen to the band Rise Against almost religiously and it's my favourite band to listen too while exercising because the beat is amazing to run to and their lyrics get your blood pumping. I also listen to bands like We Came as Romans, Sleeping with Sirens, Amity Affliction, Miss May I and a bunch of other stuff.

If you have an iPad or iPhone, I use Pandora (it's like creating your own station). To start, you search on an artist or song you like, then it will pick songs that are similar. I can give a thumbs up if I like and it (and it will play), thumbs down if I don't and it will skip it and try another. I think there are other iPhone apps that work similar but I like it because I wind up gettings songs I would have never thought of and many of my favorites.
this damn tracker below hasn't been right in months! My current weight is 137!

I listen to a lot of music I wouldn't normally listen to when I am running. I think it's important to pick upbeat stuff, sometimes even encouraging songs.. RAP songs are perfect because they are all about SELF improvement and striving to be better.. well usually.. I know Jay-Z songs do that...

I love Owl City (upbeat + there's some clear Jesus-love in some of his songs), and Lights (whose faith isn't super obvious in her music, but it is upbeat and inspirational). Aaand back in my pop-punk days I liked Relient K, who I'm pretty sure are still classified as a Christian band?

And in addition to Pandora, if you have an iPhone or other iDevice, I recommend the Songza app. You can pick playlists based on moods, activities, genres, decades, cultural things (like Halloween or autumn), and a few other things (there's a section called "Record-store clerk" with groupings that don't necessarily fit into the aforementioned categories).

Listen closely to the lyrical content. It is the ultimate message of perseverance, self improvement and overcoming obstacles. Although not musical genius per-se, one of the most motivating bands I know of.

Do you use pandora?? They have a variety of fitness stations to choose from. I use country fitness or pop fitness, they usually just play upbeat songs. Works for me! Smile

How Often Do you weigh yourself?
Every 2 weeks now as I am looking to lose stone at a time not a pound here and there. When at ideal weight will go to 1x a week.
