I have used liquid stevia a couple times. The one thing I found is that stevia enhances the flavor of whatever you're putting it in, so in my opinion, it may work for salad dressing but I've never tried it.

I never use sugar in salad dressing. Try simply eliminating it from the recipe.

I like to mix splenda and swerve together, the swerve and stevia tastes MUCH better than just stevia but it still doesnt have that sugar taste for me. I went back to Splenda, I figure that if I am eating healthy stuff most of the time, one questionable item wont kill me.

This may be over-optimizing. The amount of sugar that you put into salad dressing is probably trivial. One teaspoon of sugar is 15 calories, and you're probably using that much divided by several servings of the dressing.

Trimming 3-5 calories from a recipe doesn't seem like it's worth the effort to me.

I can´t even drink Stevia with coffee, my nutrionist recommended that Sweetener, because it doesn't have a lot of stuff like Aspartame, but damn, that tastes awful, using Linea Sucralose.

I agree with Hoser. I tried Stevia & just found it terrible tasting. Something's I just refuse to give up, one being my morning coffee w/cream & sugar. Just cut back on calories somewhere else. It seems to be working cause I lost 16 lbs and now readjusting goals. Thank you Insanity (& the great nutrition guide included in it).

i would suggest trying to dissolve a packet in a tbsp of hot water before adding to the other ingredients and see if that works with your recipie... if you want to try with the granules again... i can't get the liquid where i am so i've never tried it...

i use stevia (sweet leaf brand) in all drinks that i would normally put sugar in as well as my oats... with the amount of tea and coffee i drink it adds up to over 50 calories saved per day by using stevia, so for me it is well worth it...every little helps...

I use Stevia powder in coffee and tea and love it! Make sure it does not contain any other sweeteners. Look for Stevia Extract LEAF. If it contains stems from the plant mixed in, it can be bitter.

Try Truvia. I switched from Splenda because I wanted a natural sweetener; I drink lots of tea and I also experiment with low carb baking. I've tried all the different brands of stevia and finally went with Truvia brand. It was the least bitter. Just remember that you should use less; 3/4 tsp Truvia to 1 tsp sugar. It desolves in my hot tea just fine so perhaps pre-disolving in a hot liquid for your dressing recipes would work?
