I'm really intrigued by this. Part of me wants to try just incorporating one list at a time. First, making sure I eat everything on the daily list... then trying to get the others in 3x a week.... then working on limiting the others to 1x a week. and finally, cutting out the things in the 0x a week list.

I love Alton Brown and how simple the list looks....but the hardest part for me is getting rid of the processed/diet food. If it weren't for Slim Fast I probably wouldn't get breakfast at all!

Have you tried pre-making breakfast? I have a recipe for egg muffins (kind of like a crust-less quiche) that I make on the weekend and just keep in the fridge and heat up in the mornings. I suppose you could probably freeze them too.
I believe I saw a recipe on here for a breakfast muffin that was quite similar. If you can't find it let me know and I will send you mine.

I love Alton too! I taped that episode and watched it 3x already! I completely agree with him on the not a diet its a way of life. Your plan sounds really good! I tried to do it all at once and got a bit discouraged. I did not get my bad eating habbits in a few days so I guess I cant expect to loose them in a few days either. I Think I will try it again your way one list at a time. Thanks for sharing!

I might try the breakfast muffins...sounds like something my kids would like too. Right now, though, I got TONS of Slim Fast bars on clearance, since they are changing their packageing. 6 breakfasts for $1 is hard to beat!

I'm currently trying to follow Alton's four lists philosophy. It's not really that difficult, but that's maybe because I live by myself and I can limit what I'm buying strictly to things on the lists.
calories in < calories out. It's not easy, but it is simple.

I couldn't make it eating only 4 servings of protein a week. Maybe it would work for some people.
