I was just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a good healthy cookbook that contains recipes for a variety of foods??

I have a weight watchers cookbook. My grandmother gave it to me. Otherwise Taste of Home has a diet one and you can look for specialty ones in book stores and online for low carb, etc...

I'm a big fan of The Food Matters Cookbook by Mark Bittman. Mark is a fabulous food writer who has done a lot of thinking about healthy, natural food and what sorts of things we should be eating.

His style of cooking is quite flexible. I like that his recipes often say, "If you don't have X, you can substitute Y or Z" -- the recipes help you think about how to cook, rather than just describing a method.

I love Appetite for Reduction by Isa Chandra Moskowitz. There's a variety of foods and the recipes are all fairly easy.

Art Smith, I've been meaning to get one of his books but I've tried a few of his recipes and they are really good.
