This was Jillian Michaels' Facebook tip today, and it made me think of everyone on this site - some of us are in different parts of this journey than others, but I think it is important for all to remember...
"Tip for the day: STOP BEATING YOURSELF UP. Give yourself a break, will you? All masters started out as students. You can’t be amazing at something over night. It takes time and patience. The same goes for exercise. Don’t have unrealistic expectations from yourself like running 3 miles next week. Instead, take the time to learn the basics: Proper form for each exercise, build muscle memory, build up your endurance and cardiovascular strength. Remember, Rome was not built in a day and neither is a healthy body."
Someone who is busier than you is working out right now.
There will come a day when you can no longer do this. Today is
not
that day.

Good post.... I think we all forget that results aren't instant. We are soooooo hard on ourselves - occasionally looking back at how far we have come is good

Yes, don't be too aggressive with your exercise or you may end up hurting yourself. Warm up properly, stretch if ya can, and take baby steps. Listen to your body!
Stay the course, stay on point, stay motivated, dedicated, and you won't be stopped. Discipline. Perseverance. Focus. Dig deep and you will be victorious.

Great reminder that even though we can't run 3 miles this week or maybe not even the next, that we are still doing something good for ourselves by making the effort and working up to those 3 miles (or whatever it may be). This is my only body so I'd better watch out for it.
Goal 3: 125 whenever I get there
Goal 2(restart): 130 by May 25th (2013 vacation)

Great post! Thanks for the reminder! We tend to be so hard on ourselves, one little slip and we feel like failures! I think that we all need to be reminded of this!
If you have the right mindset then nothing can stop you from reaching your goals! Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels!

Insulin
This also applies to people who aren't pre-diabetic or diabetic. Levelling out extreme insulin peaks and troughs is key to keeping hunger at bay, feeling good and losing weight.
