I am starting week 3 of the Body by Vi challenge, and it has been an amazing thing for me. Initially I thought that the whole thing was a huge scam & I was the biggest skeptic and I honestly thought I would be able to go buy some Slimfast from Walmart and then recreate the same effects that Body by Vi provided. I argued and argued with my friend about it but at the end of the day, I couldn't get it out of my mind.

She had a group on FB for everyone doing the challenge and I decided to join it just to see. The moment that it became real for me & when I realized that this wasn't as shady as I first thought is when I was seeing pictures of people that I actually knew personally, who was making the transformation & actually losing weight & inches.

From that moment on I decided to join the challenge, solely as a challenger, as of 7/17 (I started June 28th), I was down 10.6 lbs. I have not felt hungry, I have met my daily calcium requirements (which I had not done on a regular basis before this) and I was actually making better food choices. I had over 130 different shake replacements at my fingertips, and yes, they don't say that it is "the shake mix that tastes like cake mix" for nothing. It is 100% true. I am able to manage my shakes at work and it isn't a huge inconvenience at all.

If you do have questions or concerns, please let me know. Even if you are interested in joining the FB group we have for people who are on the challenge or considering taking the challenge, just let me know!

Quite honestly, I have not been doing any other exercise other than work. I work as an SNA (student nurse assistant) at a hospital and run my butt off crazily, but other than that, I have not exercised at all. I'm sure that if I did, then my results would probably be even better!!!

As far as calcium goes, I would have some milk here & their occasionally, and other than some cheese, ice cream, or yogurt, I didn't really get a whole lot more of the calcium my body needed. I use Almond milk in my shake, and it has been wonderful. I believe that the shake mix itself has one serving of Calcium and then the almond milk is double that of regular milk. (Not sure of the amount though).

Just make sure that you are going through, doing the challenge, and getting your 3 for free so that you get your product free!

I just wanted to update...today is Day 26 for me, and I am down another 2 pounds as of today's weight in, thus bringing my total weight loss to 12.6lbs.

Carly and Aberk do you mind if I add you both as fs buddies? I am starting the challenge today. I'd appreciate any tips, tricks or recipes. I am not loving the texture I'm getting when I mix the drinks but I'll stick with it a while.

I don't mind at all! Are you using ice in the shakes when you blend them?

Yes, but I still find it chalky. Not to mention sweet.

I personally am not a fan of the texture either, but I add much more ice than most of the recipes recommend, that way it is more like a Frappe (which I really love).

Also, are you using the flavor mix-ins? What type of shakes are you making?

So far, I have been adding it to juice and tea. I figured I would have tea anyway (0 calories) and the mix makes it sweet (so no sugar needs to be added). I might try it with coffee tomorrow.

I have been using the sugar free jello & the Starbucks via packets when I want to have coffee. It tastes wonderful. I tried making a Sex on the Beach shake & I found that it was too sweet for me, so I think it is the juice doing it.

Haven't weighed in or measured this week, due to the impending monthly visitor, but as I type this now, I have noticed that my once tight scrubs for work are now super loose. Time for new scrubs.

I figured I should update...although I am feeling a bit bloated, I weighed myself at work. So as of today, day 37 for me, I am down 20.6 lbs.

So, if you are truly wondering if the shakes work, it has turned me, the skeptic, into a huge believer! I have been focusing on my challenge solely, but now I am working on the whole, getting my kit for free deal, which is what I really love about the company. If you get 3 friends to join you on the challenge, you can earn your kits monthly, for free.

Another wonderful update...the boyfriend decided that after seeing my results, he wanted to try the shakes out. He has been doing it for a week and a half, but has started doing the shakes twice a day for the past 5 days. Not even a week in to starting the challenge full time, and he lost 6lbs in 5 days.

You lost 10 lbs from going on a almost exclusively fluid diet.

No crap in your intestines clogging them up, not nearly as much CHO holding extra water weight either.

Body by Vi is a humongous scam, I have a friend with sports nutrition background that peddles that crap at the gym and he tells me all the time how dumb it is and it is all due to the fluid calorie intake and not having crap weight in you.

Eat the same calories in real food and you will lose the same weight after initial water weight loss.
A pre planned diet is a recipe for failure, Do IIFYM and incorperate foods you enjoy into your daily intake.

Dietary fat =/= net fat gain, consuming more calories than you burn = net fat gain.

Well, I am down 20.6 lbs now, down a clothing size. And actually, not sure where you get your information, but I am not doing an almost exclusive fluid diet. I still eat, I have my two shakes a day, track my calories, factor in the exercise I do, so I am quite fine. I'm not starving, I'm not having any issues period. I drink two shakes daily, averaging about 250-350 tops in calories, the rest is from actually eating real food.

And I do not only consume the "shakes" in liquid form. I cook with it as well, doing the blueberry pancakes, making granola energy balls, and other types of food.

Well, I suppose it is time for another update on my results with the Body by Vi challenge. I am on day 64 and down 31.2lbs, and yesterday when I was attempting to find something to wear to school, I tried on a pair of pants that I hadn't worn in 3 years. When I started the challenge, I was in size 20 pants. Yesterday, I was fitting into size 14 pants with no problems.
