I love to read! And Series books are my favorite. The last series I sat down and read was the Hunger Games. What are other good series that you have read that are great and why?

The Uglies series is good, and so is the Maze Runner trilogy.. Sometimes the MR books can be a little hard to follow, could have been written better...

I'm reading the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon right now, on book 6. The books are thick, but small chapters so it's easy to get a few pages in, if you can put it down. Hunger Games is next on my list.
Basically, it's about an english woman (Claire) in 1945 who travels back in time about 200 years, in Scotland. WWII has just ended (she was an army nurse) & she's landed at the beginning of a war in Scotland & everyone thinks she's a witch. Drama & romance.

Have you read the Left Behind series by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins? You might like it. I haven't finished it because at some point it seemed to get a little repetative but I plan on going back at some point and finishing it.

If you like historical romance, The Highland Guard Series by Monica McCarty is awesome!!! There are 5 books out so far with the 6th out in October. It is set in Scotland and follows a band of Robert Bruce warriors after the fall of William Wallace. Couldn't put them down!

I second the Game of Thrones.... the third book was mindblowing. If you like fantasy I would very highly recommend the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind.

My sister has this series...I may get it from her this weekend as we are going to garage sales.
What do you mean by repetitive? Like same story like/scenarios?

It seemed to me like each new book spent 2-3 chapters reiterating what had happened in the book that came before it.

I read the whole Outlander series while they were still being written and it was agony waiting for the next installment! I loved it.
Another series I read a long time ago but would read again is The Chronicles Of Thomas Covenant, The Unbeliever. There are two parts to it, each with three books. Without giving too much away, it's a fantasy story about a guy who gets pulled from our world into another world with fairies and giants and wizards and the like. He was brought there because their legends tell that he is the person who is supposed to save their land from the evil that has taken over it (I forget what they called the "evil one"
. Anyway, he doesn't believe any of it is real so he doesn't take things seriously and by the end of each book something happens that sends him back to our world so then he is "back to reality" and really think it's all a bad dream or something because time hardly passes in our world compared to years in the other realm. The first book takes a little time to get through because of all of the strange words you have to stumble over but after you get about half way, you don't want to stop reading.
Another fantasy series that was equally as awesome was the Magic Kingdom of Landover series by Terry Brooks. Similar premise in that a person from our world goes over to another realm and is required to help them fight the evil wizard but original and fascinating all its own.
