Hi

I've been looking into stepping up my current fitness program thingie and have read some pretty good reviews for "ChaLEAN EXTREME Workout DVD Program: Burn Fat, Boost Your Metabolism & Get Lean" I'm not huge on the 'excercise at home' dealio, as I find I tend to draw a lot of my motivation from actually GOING to the gym...just wondering if anyone has tried this program, and if so, whether it worked/was easy to stick to/they liked it?

I've done the program along with many other Beachbody programs. I was skeptical of at home workouts myself too but now it's all I do. ChaLean is a great program. You really need to make sure you have adequate weights for it though. You have to do the workouts as prescribed so if Chalene says you only do 6 reps, you need the right amount of weight so that you're failing on rep 6. You can't have anything left in the tank or it won't be as effective as it should be.

I also found that if you're used to weight training and like to move quickly, it may test your patience because for many of the workouts, the reps are very slow and controlled. It serves to increase your muscle's time under tension which really gets a burn going in your muscles.

It's great when done properly Smile The workouts are good, most of them are under an hour or around 45 minutes max. Chalene is a great trainer, lots of fun, great music, and the nutrition guide is great too.

I know this is an old post but what did you decide on doing hayleyrobs?

ChaLean program can bring miracle in maintaining a fit body but it does require more money on weight rather than spending it for food. You have to spend a lot of money to buy more weights. Also it will be suitable only for people who are curious to loss some weight. Normal people will follow the plan for some initial stages and soon after they will stop following the program because of money problem.

How Often Do you weigh yourself?
Every 50 days...it is too easy to lose hope when you reach a plateau. Every 50 days is good and you know if you are sticking to your regime. I can tell by how I feel and how my clothes fit.

Get serious about food and exercise or forget about losing weight!
Great tips, it is true that its mostly in the diet! Muhc better to make lifestyle changes than to go on to quick weight loss diets.

Probably literally no carbohydrates, except for a few veggies (no starches) and tons tons of water will be the best way you can eat! Also will have to exercise like crazy to lose that amount of weight ...
