How do you get your BMI lower? I used to be under 20, now it is up to about 25 (according to my scale).

Your BMI isn't an a accurate description of your health( it is just weight vs height and doesn't take into consideration your muscle mass), instead find out your body fat percentage, and try and lower that. Hope that helps.

It sounds like you may be confusing BMI with body fat percentage.
BMI is the Body Mass Index, which is simply a ratio of your height to your weight. As such, the only ways to reduce it are to lose weight or to grow taller.
Your scale is likely estimating your body fat percentage through bioelectrical impedence. This is, however, a crude and fairly unreliable method as the measurements can be affected by many factors - particularly how much food and water you have in your system at the time of the measurement. Unless you have added a fair amount of body fat since the last measurement, the increase from 20 to 25 is probably just a reflection of the measurement inaccuracy.
Otherwise, the way to reduce body fat is basically the subject of most of the posts in this forum. Maintain lean mass by consuming sufficient protein and fats, perform resistance training if possible, and oxidize body fat by consistently eating at a modest calorie deficit. Simple rules, but not necessarily easy - as the myriad diet strategies out there demonstrate.

I have that problem too, Nimm (and I should know better by now). Thanks for the clarification.

weigh in
Good luck! I weigh in every day which has to stop. It is too easy to get caught up in the excitement of seeing the scale drop so much in a week-that is because of water weight I am sure.

Need suggestions on healthy/low-calorie foods.
You can use shakes for a few days. I have used the Atkins shakes and they are very good tasting. Soups are good though as stated above you may have to puree them. You could puree or blend cottage cheese ...
