Yep, it's all about motivation. You have to want it - more than anything. More than anything I want to weigh less. I want it more than the cookies, pie, cake, potatoes... Those thing will provide me with immediate satisfaction that is short lived and will keep me from achieving my long term goal. I will not give up my long term goal for a short term satisfaction. Ncnole those are inspiring words. You're absolutely right and I love your attitude. A dietian once said to me "nothing tastes as good as thin/fit feels". I need to print that out in a banner and put it on my fridge. Heck, I think I'll get a tattoo!!

Have you lost weight on Atkins without exercise?

I started at about your weight 192. I'm female 65, have a smell frame and work at a desk all day but try to be fairly active when I'm not at work. I had to trim my calories down to averaging 1200 ...

Right, I wouldn't pay anyone. Find a plan that works and stick to it. There are lots of books at the library. Track your food on FS.
