Lisa, when i started this i absolutely hated water. now its the only thing i drink. i found it easier to just take a bottle and chug it every 3 hours on the hour. after a week or two it got easier and now i dont dread drinking it all.

Thanks Les. I guess I should give myself more time to develop a routine.

OK, a new day is given to us. I downed a bottle of water - I used Peach Tea MiO, give me some time to go cold turkey onto plain H20..lol. Possibly by mid or end of January, I'll be drinking the recommended 8 -10 glasses per day.

I find I do drink water better at work, don't know why. Using no cal Mio is the same as plain old drinking water, I usually use it to drink when I eat lunch at work.

I bought a water bottle with a built in filter since our water at work doesn't taste well and I found that makes it easier to drink since you don't always know what water source you are going to have available. I also made sure that it fits in my car drink holder so I have it available when driving instead of a soda or sweet tea. Takes some getting used to it but once you do it isn't so bad.

I agree with GNAT 824. Keep water handy and just keep sipping, you will soon get to the point where you cant get through the day without it and feel much much better. Sazy
My original profile has disappeared so I will update. I live in Scotland with my husband. My 2 grown up sons live within 20 minutes from my home, though in opposite directions. My youngest has 2 children whm I look after twice a week and of course sleepovers. I love looking after them

I have been on Fs since august 2011 without success, my own doing of course as the support and caring words from buddieswere faultless. My problem, I know I should lose weight for health and fitness, however I am undisciplined and unfortunately got used to my weight, which means of course that I have forgotten how it feels to be so fit as I once was.
My family have accepted their pleas have fallen on deaf ears as my weight remains the same.
I may not be on here much as I originally came back to say hello to my buddies that I have never forgotten.

Most of my buddies seem to have taken a break too. I can only say that on or off FS I am going to try and make steps toward a healthier, fitter life.

Ok my 2 cents...Water is so important because ...it frees up your liver to do its main job of fat metabolism. If you don't drink enough water your kidneys can't function at maximum filtering your blood and the liver has to pitch in..then fat metabolism is slowed down...Hey I want my FAT to be METABOLIZED...DRINK UP!
I ATE myself into this problem...SO I AM EATING MY WAY OUT OF IT!
