I have renewed my commitment with weight watchers. I have had a very good experience with this diet since 2001. Being a person who has had weight issues all my life it has been very difficult maintaining a healthy weight. I am one of a set of twins and as luck will have it my sister is stick thin and has never been on a diet in all our lives. Me on the otherhand, well lets just say I have tried most diets with different degrees of success. I would like to become pregnant this year but my goal is to lose the 30kg before in order to maintain a healthy weight. I am scared to get pregnant and gain even more weight. I am a researcher and spend most days at a desks which does bot help. So I have gotten hold of my weight watchers books and started to get my mind into gear. The best thing about this diet is the fact that you control the outcome, if you eat a chocoloate and you count this within your daily allowance you still lose the weight. it encourages you to think about what you eat something which I struggle with. I will often eat snacks as a quick meal without truly thinking about calories, nutrients and portion size. This is everything weight watchers helps with. I am hoping to lose the weight in 4 to 6 months so I am motivated and oping for a happily ever after outcome. Sick of being over weight and gaining weight over and over again... weight watchers will you marry me

Way to go! I do both weight watchers and FS. I like tracking the calories, but I love going to the weekly meetings and the good health guidelines. I'm now a WW Lifetime member (as of a month ago).

Just getting on my own journey, once again trying to lose weight... Had a lap band in 2008, didn't help as much as they said it would, then out of discouragment I gained weight! After one and a half month on Weight watchers, I am down 9 pounds!!! Yahoo! I think WW is a reasonable diet that I can follow and live in the "real" world, as opposed to other diets I have tried to follow.

I also have high cholesterol, but.....after I lost 56 lbs yrs ago, my Dr & I decided to stop the meds and see what WW was doing.Guess what? After 2 mos it shot right back up to over 200. My body makes alot of cholesterol, my aunt & two uncles who are all thin have the same issue. I have been on meds for 10 yrs. Guess it's going to be a liftime. Stopped it this summer, same issue. Back on it and my levels dropped. Just saying... Hope you can manage it with WW and not meds.
