That's awesome! I had my band in January and stopped losing in July. I want to remotivate. What are you eating/drinking to sustain you for so few calories? Keep up the great work!

Hey Pam. Man its been so long since I've gotten on this thing. Well lets update u on what's been going on. I went off work and got depressed and just gained weight. I just went back to work Feb 2012 weighing in at 250 lbs. Which was even more depressing. But I put myself back on a low calorie diet and have been hard on myself. I'm weighing in today at 239. I'm keeping up on my diet and just really changed the way I eat to back to the train of thought I used to have after my surgery. This is what I been eating on a daily basis maybe u could somehow see my diet planner on calorie counter. I hope ur keeping up ur food work as well.

Bkft
2-3 hard boiled egg whites
1 cup almond villa milk very good and has lots of vitamins only 90 cal.
lots of water

Lunch
2 cans of tuna w/1 tbsp lite mayo put on romain lettuce (like lettuce wraps)
And maybe some fresh fruit.
Lots of water

Dinner
Either the same as lunch or
1 salmon party baked in oven w/1 cup spinach

Believe this just w/3 eggs white the tuna wraps, and salmon party ur no more then 500 calories. It's ok to go over ur calories just as long as u stay within 1000. I've notice the lower my calorie intake the more I lose. I'll try to keep updating. But if u have any questions email me. Mfluvgc@gmail.com.

And again good luck.

Nimm, the equation changes somewhat with patients who have had weight loss surgery. In general your advice is good, but I'm not sure that it is here.

You're correct. A good reminder to read the entire thread carefully.

I'm a HUGE believer in Very Low Calorie diets.. I lost 170lbs since July 2011 on a very low calorie low carb diet.. I have now eased up to a normal amount of calories a day and maintain my weight beautifully.. I could NOT have done it at a rate of 1 pound or 2 pounds a week I would have been DISCOURAGED. I never had lap band or any other bariatric surgery.. but the weight came off easily.
