So I am going to be going on a diet today.
A "Ramen Noodle" diet.
I have some weight lose pills labeled "Lipofuze" I ordered and dying to use.
Facts about Lipofuze:
http://www.lipofuze.com/
Plan: (and what I did today)
Morning- Fruit (Banana) with 1 block of noodles
Afternoon- 1 Block of flavored Ramen
Night- 1 Block of flavored Ramen
1 Block = 1 Package
Total = 3 Packages daily

I plan to take 1 pill of Lipofuze 20min before each meal

With multiple vigorous exercises daily, along with only drinking water

would this help me lose 10+ pounds in two months?

(I need something very cheap and easy to get, so this works best)

-Thank You, all advice appreciated Smile

[ MY AVERAGE DAILY DIET BEFORE ]
Drink: Pepsi
Exercise: walk 1 mile throughout the day, if even that
Food: Multiple noodle/pasta foods, with large amounts of bread, large portions, multiple calories

That will kill you.

I'm not joking.

Massive doses of salt, no protein, tons of trans and saturated fats, tons of simple sugars, no fiber, no vitamins/minerals.

Try that and you'll be in the hospital in short order

I addded up the calories in your proposed diet plan and it comes to about 1200-1300 calories, so technically it may work if you are burning off more calories than that during the day. BUT, you may be so swollen from all that sodium that you probably wouldnt really notice it if you did lose weight. I understand you need something that is cheap, but you could eat 3 cups of All Bran Complete Wheat Flakes cereal with a glass of skim milk for the same amount of calories as 1 Ramen Noodle; and you would be getting tons more nutrients, as well as a very healthy dose of fiber in every bowl. That's just an example. Ramen Noodles are SOOOO BAD for you. Let us know how that goes.

I couldn't even imagine how much water I'd retain doing that.

Plus it's just all fat and carbs in ramen noodles. You'll be losing muscle, so technically you'll lose weight but probably be skinny fat.

Loosing weight and STAYING at a healthy weight, is about educating yourself to eat sensibly and healthily and exercising at a level you know you can do for the rest of your life. This diet and the pills will NOT be maintainable... You'll just put it all on again and some more when you come of it.... Added to that, you won't get the vitamins and minerals your body needs, and you may damage you organs, teeth hair etc. How sexy are teeth and bones that are crumbling, hair that is dull and brittle, skin that is dull and spotty, a body that is dimpled and has cellulite because of water retention and impurities from the crap you are planning on eating.

Eeeek! You might want to do some research on what is the healthiest way to lose weight. You will probably find that eating lean proteins, lots of fruits and vegetables, whole grain breads/pastas and low salt/fat/sugar and daily exercise will be the best way, not to mention that you will be able to eat more than this and you won't suffer like you will doing this crazy diet!

Shelby...please do some research on healthy diets. The diet you are talking about is NOT healthy!!! Also, lipofuze...not a good idea!

Side Effects of Lipofuze:
Lipofuze side effects, for example, can involve the following: insomnia, irregular heart beat, gastrointestinal distress, severe allergic reactions, anxiety, liver disorders and elevated blood pressure. Other dangerous Lipofuze side effects can involve interaction with various prescriptive medications you might be currently taking like blood thinners, cholesterol and blood sugar altering drugs.
Add to that....5340g of sodium a day!! Recipe for disaster...possible death. Research!!!!! Your body needs NUTRITION!!!

Quick fixes are not the best way to lose weight, especially those that can cause damage to your body or kill you.

To lose weight and be healthy:

- Lean proteins
- Fruits and Veggies
- Whole Grain breads/pastas
- Low fat versions of dairy (skim milk, cheese made with skim milk, etc.)
- "Good" fats (olive oil, avocados, nuts and seeds)
- Moderate or very little intake of sweets/sugars/"bad" fats/salt
- Drink lots of water
- Exercise for about 20-30 minutes 3-5 days per week.
- To lose, burn more than you are eating and to maintain, eat as much as you're burning through exercise.

You will lose and be healthy and keep it off. Otherwise, once you lose weight with this crazy diet, you will go back to your old way of eating and just gain it all back plus end up with some damage to your body. If you eat the way I showed you above, for the rest of your life, you will lose weight and be able to maintain it.

Do some research and educate yourself before doing this diet!

I ditto Coconutprincess . . . . . . . eat food, real food, a variety of real food every day, all day, not processed stuff. One banana a day is not enough real food. Real food is delicious! Processed food is a man-made simulation of real food, NOT actually real food.

ya- eating 3 blocks of Ramen everyday only will not only kill you, it'll be really uncomfortable. You will live for your next meal, literally it will be all you can think about. They are like negative food, all simple carbs that will spike your blood sugar and drop you like a rock. I don't know about Lipofuze, but people who I know who have tried diet drugs have gained back TWICE the weight they managed to lose when they stopped it, not to mention the devastation enacted upon your body. You will lose muscle and not too much fat, making it that much harder to get into any kind of real weight loss and health. Toss the Lipofuze and count it as a lesson learned. It's like when I don't eat something ( like an egg yolk) and have to put it down the drain- waste it there or apply to my waist Smile. Waste the Lipofuze and save your health.

You can lose 10 lbs in one month by eating healthy foods and exercising! I think there is a saying that losing weight is 80% what you eat and 20% exercise. It's your choice to go on this diet or not, but I truly believe that this is an unhealthy fad diet.

I think you call me … Sexy.

Also, if you intend to poison yourself with that diet, there's no way you'll be able to complete "multiple vigorous exercises daily".

You body needs NUTRITION (proteins, good fats, complex carbs, electrolytes, vitamins, minerals, etc.) to do that kind of exercise. Eating only Ramen and trying to do that kind of exercise simply won't work.

Here's some raw numbers for you:

I took a guess you're a male at <30 years old and average height. I used your stated weight (195lbs). Given those parameters, your basal metabolic rate is around 2,000 ca/day. This means that if you were do do *nothing* but lay in bed all day, your body would require 2,000 calories just to keep itself alive.

Now, just normal daily activities adds another 400ca/day easily unless you sit on the couch all day doing absolutely nothing.

Then, assuming multiple vigorous workouts a day is 2 30 minute sessions, that adds around 800 calories or more to your requirement.

So, add it all up: 2,000 MBR + 400 for daily activities + 800 for exercise and you need about 3,200ca/day (OF NUTRITIOUS FOOD) just to maintain your weight.

If you want a *very* aggressive weight loss, you can aim for a 1,500 deficit a day (3 lbs a week), meaning you'll want a minimum of 1,700 calories a day of food which combined with that exercise would give you 3lb/s week fat loss, or 12-13 lbs a month. Realistically, most people can average about 1,000 calorie deficits over the long term (weeks, months) so that means 8-9 lbs a month which is still excellent progress.

(if you are female, you can subtract 4-500 ca from those totals)

Of course if all you're eating is salt and sugar (which is all Ramen is), you'll last about 3 days of that kind of exercise before you body will simply be unable to continue, and probably end up needing a doctor.

Dear god, no. Everyone else has said it well enough.

If you're shooting for inexpensive, go get a few bags of dried beans, some eggs, and some fresh vegetables and fruit. I'll assume that you already have some things around -- oils for cooking, seasonings, etc.

The beans and eggs will give you the proteins that you need, and beans have lots of fiber. Fruits and vegetables will give you most of the important nutrients that you need.

You can make omelets and frittatas with eggs and veggies, and they're quick and easy. Beans have a variety of uses-- think soups and salads, among other things.

As a side benefit to doing it this way, you'll learn how to cook healthier foods and build better eating habits.

Even a Nutrisystem type diet of pre packaged foods will help you achieve your goals faster than ramen! If I were shopping for you, I would pick out: tons of fresh berries, greek yogurt or eggs, whole wheat bread for breakfast; grilled chicken breast, salad or spinach, a vinaigrette dressing, quinoa and apples for lunch; salmon, brown rice, broccoli for dinner; iced green tea for a beverage and air popped popcorn, celery with peanut butter, snap peas with hummus and almonds for snacks. You will be full, get fiber and protein, eat plenty of nutrients, and lose weight. It is so much easier than depriving yourself all day, taking pills and eating noodles. It is something sustainable that will care for your body your whole life!
