This forum is AMAZING!
What is so great about it IMO is the fact that everything we write in here STAYS here for eternity.
This means that all the great advice that we get and give, stays here for everyone to come back to later, and read, re-read, learn from, comment on, etc.
We're all doing a variation of the same thing, and we're all here for the same reason.
This ALSO means that if you have a question, an issue, a problem and it's weight loss related, there is a HUGE chance that someone have had that exact problem before you.
The Forum has an amazing search feature.
You'll find it in the upper right corner of the forum. You can search different places, but if you choose "forum" and enter a few choice keywords, then you can find a lot of topics relevant to your issue.
This way, you can easily find very inspirational threads and discussions about all these issues, and most likely answers to your questions.
I suggest we all use it before
we create new topics and ask questions, for several reasons:
1. All your questions have probably been answered already, and discussed in depth. It will take quite a while to get as fulfilling answer again, if you have to wait for as many people to pitch in once more.
2. By gathering all the information in fewer discussions, we get even better answers down the line. If we open 10 threads with the same questions, all the information about that very topic gets scattered and harder to find.
3. By opening a new topic with already answered questions, and frankly, some of the questions are asked MANY times, over and over again, you risk that people simply ignore it and don't answer as they have already been answered so many times.
4. If you find a thread relevant to your topic, and feel like pitching in on the topic, this thread will be brought to the TOP of the topics list, making it a current topic for everyone to read. This keeps the topics fresh and relevant, even if they are older topics. Genious!
I'd like to encourage everyone to NOT open new topics before you have searched to see if you can find an answer to your question. Let's gather the information in an easy-to-find way, and help everyone learning.
Of course, I am not saying that you're not allowed to ask questions, or that you're not allowed to open a new topic. I am as always happy to answer and help and I have always done. I'm simply asking you to consider if this may have already been answered by someone, or asked by someone having a similar issue. It would give you an much more in-depth answer, simply by spending 30 seconds searching.
I'm pretty sure that someone ask already asked about weigh-ins, the right calorie intake, plateauing, how to post pictures, which diet works, how to deal with resisting sugar cravings etc.
