Saving our own 'meals'

I don't know if this is the best method, but I enter the homemade dish as a recipe in my private cookbook instead of as a meal. I just write it out well enough to fill in all the necessary fields. One of the fields asks how many servings are in the dish.

When you go to your cookbook after you enter the recipe, there is a place where you can add the serving to your food diary.
