Very sad and tired of having the extra weight.. I am depressed of the summer months coming. I know diet is 75% of weight loss and healthy living. I will be honest to the unknown readers. I drink way to much wine and munch during late night TV.. Use to love to Cook and experiment and drink good wine... I joined curves which I love the 30 minute cardio.. I know I have to do more with my food intake... Help

Maybe use your love of cooking to create recipes that fit into your diet plan but are still satisfying? I use to love my beer but there is no way to fit that into my calorie count so just had to give it up. And after a few drinks its way to easy to go off of the plan. If you enjoy working out try doing that in the evening instead of watching TV. Identifying what triggers you to overeat and make changes to your habits to avoid those situations. This isn't easy but so worth it when the weight starts to come off.

One thing that worked for me for TV snacking is logging it in here before I ate it. That way I could decide what and how much I wanted to eat. That way, I can just take out the potion I plan to eat.
Don't really know about the alcohol though... am a teetotaler. Maybe you can substitute it for green tea? Again, not really sure about that.

Maybe cutting carbs is not the way you want to go? For me, counting calories did the trick. I didn't relly look at carbs, protein and all that jazz, though I did notice that carbs make me hungry, protein makes me full.
It's all about you finding the weight loss journey that is right for you. If you can't see yourself doing it forever, then there is no point in doing it. Find a system that is long lasting for you.
Good luck. There is one for all of us. Which one is yours?

Like you, I love to cook and eat and drink alcohol. I can't see any way that a diet plan that asks me to give any of that up is going to last for long.
I have to second what kingkeld is saying about developing a realistic, sustainable plan. Instead of focusing so much on cutting out snacks and drinks (simple, sugar laden, nutritionally vacant carbs), use the food tracker and your love of cooking to add healthier meats and especially healthier fiber rich carbs, like vegetables and beans, to your diet.
I've only been using the site for about two months, but I have already found that I don't snack as much at night if I have eaten solid healthy meals all day long. I still enjoy a couple of beers or some wine several times a week. I still cook with wine or with real sherry but the addition of alcohol to the recipes where I use it is not a problem because I am cooking mostly from scratch with wholesome ingredients. The days where my calorie counts are high are not the days that I drink or have a snack -- they are the days where I rely on convenience food instead of cooking at home.
Those of us who struggle with our weight are often accused of not having any willpower. It never occured to anyone that we might snack because we are honestly hungry?

I haven't given up my red wine with dinner and I am doing the low carb way of eating. The weight and inches are coming down (but probably a little slower because of my love of wine). You can still lose weight but lower it to one glass at dinner with meat or fish and vegetables. Logging in here will help you to keep count and stay on track.

Can you do yogurt? A friend recommended to me plain yogurt with splenda mixed in. Maybe try that with some berries. I've been putting frozen raspberries in my protein shake.
