I am concerned about my weight. My body type is kinda thick even for being active. I usually sit at about 190 lbs (+/-5 lbs) and my goal is to get down to 175lbs. I adjust my diet and increased my excercise routing to doing something everyday. My problem is this, I have gained almost 2lbs in a week.... Is there anybody out there can give me some pointers? Thank you

hello. i looked at your diet calendar, and at 190 pounds, i really do think you may be eating too little. what was the RDI fatsecret recommended? while i think fatsecret's RDI can be a little high for folks, i doubt you are anywhere close to it.

but another thing to consider, if you haven't been active previously and just started exercising, and maybe doing some weight lifting, folks tend to go up in weight briefly.

maybe a combination of upping your calories to a little higher number and continuing your exercise regimen, you will see a drop. the body will take time to adapt to your exercise routines ... but you also do not want to reduce calories as low as i see you have recorded - i am also assuming you record everything you eat?

try to steer away from all sugary drinks, refined wheat products, and go with more whole foods such as lean meat, fruits and vegetables ... lots of water over soda ... and just give it some time.

this by no means is the answer - it varies for all of us - but i am sure if you continue to exercise at least 5 days a week you will begin to see results.
