Tis the season to get the marathons and Ks going. So many of us are going out for one or two. These are very inspiration for those of us who want to be able to run one and are in the process of achieving that goal. What is the date of yours and what are you doing?

Sun April 29: Cherry Creek Sneak 5k
Monday May 28: Boulder Bolder 10k
Maybe - Sat/Sun August 18/19 Triathlon (haven't decided if doing Sprint or Oly if either at all, but will probably do a tri sometime this summer)
Maybe - Sunday Sept 22: Rock n Roll half (either 13.1 or a relay - 6 miles ish)
Does anybody really think that they didn't get what they had because they didn't have the talent or the strength or the endurance or the commitment?

It will be my first 5k ever, but I'm excited -- Run For Your Lives, on June 23 (in part 'cause it's on my birthday!); the event isn't just a 5k but a bit of an obstacle course and, oh yeah, volunteer "zombies" chase you through it.
I'm looking forward to it; hopefully it goes well enough that I'll have the confidence in myself to sign up for others.

Im running my very first marathon September 1st this year! For 17 years, I was a heavy smoker. When I quit smoking 3 1/2 years ago, I started running. I hadnt run in any races before, but started doing 5k's 3 years ago. Last year I finally ran a 10k, then a half last fall. This year is the marathon! Im so excited!
