What a lovely thread!

My 12-year old daughter still loves to lay on top of me while watching tv. One day she was laying on my side, and she kept moving around trying to get comfortable. I finally asked her to stay still, and she said, "I like that you are losing weight, but your not as comfortable anymore. Your hip bone hurts me." I said, with a smile, "so, all I had to do to stop you from laying on me, was lose weight?!" Smile

Though I'm still having a hard time noticing the loss, it's very apparent to my daughter, that 40 lbs makes a huge difference!

LOL Reminds me of one time when I was watching TV with my young daughter. She was laying on the couch and had her head on my thigh like it was a pillow. She kept shifting around and finally sat up and said, "You're not as fluffy as you look!" Sooo funny.

For me, it was when i went from a size 13 to an 8, and now the 8 i need a belt or i keep having to hike them up. or how about all my old shorts. I don't need to unbutton them to pull them down.

I keep a bag right by my closet, and have to add to it weekly. I have gone from a size 14 to a size 7 and love having to donate the clothes that no longer fit. So its not the numbers on the scale, but how I have had to keep getting new clothes that actually fit me. Yay what a wonderful feeling it is!
If you have the right mindset then nothing can stop you from reaching your goals! Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels!

Wonderful perspective on just how much a 30# loss can mean. When looking down at the scale on a daily basis it might not seem as powerful as this comparison. Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work!
