ANYONE OUT THERE SUFFERING WITH "CHEESE OVERLOAD"?? PLEASE RESPOND AND ENLIGHTEN ME WITH YOUR EXPERTISE...

355 lbs - skipped it & went straight to 352.2 lbs. (SMILE) 8/16/2011
345 lbs - skipped this goal also & weighed in at 344.6 TODAY! 9/20/2011
334 lbs - to lose 10 lbs. more by October 15th (334.6 lb) accomplished this goal 10-4-2011 at 331.4
328 lbs - Goal accomplished 10-15-2011

i have been looking for an answer to this.i stopped using cheese about 2 weeks ago and lost 6 lbs.dont understand why but it refreshed my motivation.

IMO cheese is a highly processed food that has lots of saturated fat and many have lots of sodium. I gave it up about 6 weeks ago and have noticed some nice effects too! (Also, it is easy to underestimate how much cheese you are eating - you can cram a lot into a 1/4 cup if you want to)

Oh man I feel like this topic was addressed to me directly! Cheese is one of my favorite food groups - sometimes I get hungry and just find myself reaching for a slice of sharp cheddar or lacey swiss. I also admit to having had dinners of just warm french bread with soft brie or bleu cheese and some wine.

Because cheese always tended to make me go over my RDI, I've made the rule for myself that I can have it if I have a single serving on a salad. So I'll get out a measuring cup and portion out 1/4 cup of feta or gorgonzola onto my salad. I've found it helps to keep away the cheese cravings while still keeping my menu healthy for the day.

That said, when I do run out of cheese, and don't eat any for a while, I find my weight drops much more quickly. It's hard to not eat it though. I wish I had more self conrol!

I love cheese so much. It's basically my boyfriend. The two things srsly wrong with that are that A. it binds up your digestions, and B. of course, it has lots of fat. I save my cheese-eating for weekends, and have it on my brunch omelettes, and if I'm really jonesing I get some truly extraordinary cheese from a specialty shop. Between the exorbitant omg price, and the high quality, high intensity taste, I tend to ration it out to last as long as possible, and be satisfied with a wee cube daily. =)
I've never met a cheese I didn't like.

Always weight it so that you know the exact amount you eat. I can now cut exacly 1 oz of any sort of cheese regardless of shape, density, etc. It is now my game, can I cut exactly 1 oz? I also started buying less known kinds - different varieties of mideteranian cheeses. They have a lot of flavor and a little bit less calories than American varieties, or more traditional French. Cannot live without cheese either.

I'm reading this AS I eat cheese. I have no willpower to quit it either. That and milk. My husband told me to stop drinking it, I don't need it (he said it much nicer with scientific explanations, pie charts and whatnot, you know) but I'm pretty sure its essential to my life. Just like cheese. Hamburger? No. It needs cheese to be eaten. But this is the wrong way to think. I try to only use it in recipes when necessary and measuring out the exact amounts....usually. I'm motivated that rockytu lost 6 lbs by not eating cheese! Unlike my husbands anti-milk campaigne, he LOVES cheese and that's how he doctors up a meal. I'll try to motivate him as well (he's my main support) but he isn't as concerned about how he will look in his bathing suit this summer like I am.

I am a cheese fanatic. Most meals are not complete unless there is some cheese. But, I too am becoming more cautious in the types of cheese I choose to eat. I know I will never give cheese up completely but I do make a conscious effort to watch how much i eat and what kind. I've actually found I get mor bang for the buck from shredded cheeses....
