ALL MY LIFE, I'VE HAD EXTREMELY LARGE CALVES.... EVEN AFTER LOSING ALMOST 100 POUNDS SINCE AUG. 15, 2011, I STILL CAN'T SEEM TO FIRM UP MY CALVES.

I TRIED CONVINCING MYSELF THAT GOD MADE EVERYONE DIFFERENT & I SHOULD LOVE MYSELF FOR WHO I AM....

I DON'T EVEN HARDLY WEAR SHORT DRESSES BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE. I WORRY ABOUT IF SOMEONE IS STARRING AT MY HUGE CALVES.....

PLEASE HELP! ANY SUGGESTIONS??

Liposuction? Fat is lost all over and it's very difficult to target one body part to make it look thinner, but especially the calves. The conventional wisdom is to tighten and tone the muscle by working it but calves are tricky because the muscle is usually one of the hardest working muscles on our bodies already and working the muscle out with weights usually increases it's size instead of making it thinner. I have the same issue. I carry a lot of my weight on my legs. I don't wear short dresses either. But hey, Maxi dresses are all the rage right now! Go for those! God did make us all different and you should love yourself no matter what.

I feel you, when I was at my heaviest mine were 18 inches around. I didn't realize how big they had gotten until I couldn't fit into ski boots. That was a little over a year ago and I can now say they are 14 inches. That is after losing almost 70 lbs. I exercise quite a bit and feel like my calves are muscular, but I would like them to be smaller too! I do calf exercises, but they still won't get smaller, so I'm not sure there is anything you can do.

Why doesn't FatSecret allow users to track water intake? I know I don't drink enough and I'll bet many others of its users also do not. Please add it!
