How to increase calories on Atkins?

I've been on Atkins almost a month now. When I started, I lost 14 lbs "like that." Now I'm stuck.

My understanding is that I'm not eating enough! According to everything I've read, I need at *least* 700 more calories a day.

How do I add those calories in a healthy, low/no-carb way??

BTW, if it matters, I am diabetic. Hence I'm on "Atkins for Life."

Adding more fat to your diet is a great way to increase calories with no impact on your carb count or blood sugar. Put butter on your cooked veggies, dress your salads with full-fat, low carb dressings such as Caesar or Ranch, or use EVOO and a bit of balsamic vinegar (check the carb count to see how much you can use). Stir fry with EVOO or coconut oil. Try adding real whipped cream (the kind you buy and whip yourself) to sugar-free jello or berries (if in OWL) for dessert. Enjoy!

You don't have to have 2300 calories, but about 2000 would be good. Aim for only 80 calories in carbs if you're on induction, that's 20 carbs. Aim for 84-126 grams protien, that's 4-6 oz meat per meal or 12-18 oz per day. ALL THE REST SHOULD BE FAT!! If you keep the carbs and protiens controlled you can eat ALL the fat you want. Eat meat! Ribeye steaks, salmon and other fish with butter sauce, bacon is good. Breakfast sausage too. Use butter, coconut oil, flaxseed oil, MCT oil, olive oil, and have pretty much all you want. Look for cheeses with no or very low carbs. Yes to real cream too, which can be used in many savory as well as sweet applications. Just also be sure to drink plenty of fluids and if you do develop problems with constipation be sure to up the fiber content. Have fun!

you lost that much weight so quickly because you depleted your glycogen reserves and lost a lot of water weight that will come back as soon as you have a normal carb intake.
Also the total calorie intake is way too low and probably it is a good idea to get back to a maintenance level that restarts your metabolism and then drop again but with a deficit of no more than 500-1000 calories. Just do not freak out if you regain some weight since that will be water not fat.
Personally I prefer a balanced and rich diet to a low-carb and unbalanced one, but if you do not mind not eating carbs and prefer proteins then just get enough of them to achieve the calorie intake goal.

The topic posted is specifically for Atkins WOE, not for naysayers on other diets. "Balanced" is a matter of opinion and your definers may be true for you, but not for everyone. Such a comment on an Atkins topic is not asked for or helpful.

I think try to eat real foods
You eat a lot of processed food
cook and use the natural fat or add some olive oil or coconut oil or butter or something.

Vegetables don't have a lot of calories but they can be a vehicle for healthy fats. Olive oil, butter, ranch dressing, etc. Good luck!

Love the food that loves you back.

Take it one day at a time!
