Would it be possible to instead of having to only input meal data into dedicated meals, could there be an option to use time stamps instead.
I love the android app, honestly this is one of the best food counting apps I've ever used.
Only issue, is I use this to count carbs for my diabetes. I don't really use it to lose weight.
What I really want to be able to do is export the food I eat with a time stamp. that way I can combine the food data with my insulin pump data and have a complete record of everything. Only issue is I don't always eat my meals at the same time, or sometimes I eat more meals than is available to keep them separate.
So the ability to keep time stamps of when I ate would be immensely valuable to me.
Hope that is something that can be considered in a future update.
Thank you for a wonderful app.

That is what I miss too. I would like to be able to enter the time that I ate the meal as well as what the meal was.

Me too. I'd also like the option to enter the amount of insulin I took to cover a meal. That would be REALLY useful.
If you allowed us to enter a short note with each meal, that would let me enter both time and insulin dosage.
With snacks they all seem to be grouped into a single entry, I've love to separate these so I can track glucose taken to correct a low blood sugar.

I would like that as well as opposed to everything being lumped into main meals. I like to have small 300 calorie meals multiple times a day, instead of three big ones, but I don't have the option to split lunch into two separate events. Maybe if Fatsecret allowed us to create meal events, so we can separate those things if we want/need to.

Fat Secret, the people have spoken, bring on the time stamps!!
This is a great idea. A lot of diets these days focus on smaller portions spread throughout the day to maintain metabolism and make use of what we put in our bodies. Our bodies don't react well to such large meals and end up turning those extra calories into fat.

When you enter your food, it does give you the option to edit what you call your food, so it would be really easy to make your own time stamps and even enter the insulin dosage as well. So instead of a food entry just saying "Nature Valley Granola Bar" - you can edit it to say "9am NV Granola Bar" or "0900 Granola Bar" - and you could create your own new food entries for your insulin or blood glucose or whatever you need - just enter all of the nutrition info as 0's... and then you can enter it as a 'food' along with the time and dosage..
Does that make sense?

There will come a day when you can no longer do this. Today is

that day.

If not the time stamp, I would also really like the option of adding more snack categories. I eat a snack between each meal, and then I have an evening snack/dessert (which is essentially six meals a day). I do like the idea of renaming the foods (though I'd prefer to have the meals in order); I could do something like Snack 1 - banana smoothie; Snack 2 - almond butter and crackers. Nice idea.

This would definitely be helpful in monitoring my Type 1 diabetes.

I would like this too. A General use notes field would be useful too, i.e., to track your mood, etc. for behavioral changes.
