Is there a way something homemade by just stating the item and the amount of calories? Thanks

If you are in your diet calendar and open to a specific day, you can go to the right and click "custom food" and add the info - it does ask for calories, fat, protein. You don't have to list the ingredients though. But if you want to list the ingredients - then selecting favorite meal or adding the recipe to your cookbook are better options.
