I enter an ingredient and hit search but it seems to search for a long time but nothing

What ingredient? Did you scroll down the page? Usually when you search for an ingredient there is a little box that pops up almost at the bottom of the page. Try that.

Yum, steak is a rarity for me as well. Am planting some chard, not something that is available to buy, have never even seen it in a farmers market here.

serving size for dry ingredients
Check the food label, it should tell you. Rice tends to have higher calories. Usually it's 1/4 cup dry and about 150-200 calories
