Did everyone know that a lot of medicines have tons of calories? This is a shock to me because it does not list any caloric information. Nyquil has 13 grams of sugar and 96 calories per 2 tbs, which isn't even a full dose! CHEESH!

Wow, didn't know that. I guess that's why (some) kids like medicine so much. My mother in law had to hide cough med from my husband when he was little because he liked it so much.

I think if I was sick I wouldn't be thinking about cals a whole lot though!

What about the NyQuill gelcaps? Anyone know if those have sugar in them?

Love the food that loves you back.

Take it one day at a time!

Most "syrups" will have sugar in them!! Evil or Very Mad Be sure to talk to your pharmacist about a sugar free alternative!!

I don't believe that you have to worry about the pills or gel caps, though. Wink

I guess alcoholic drinks don't list caloric info either, but everyone knows they have calories!

LOL I was going to have some when I was feeling bad the other day, but I saw corn syrup on the inactive indredients, and I KNOW that means SUGAR and sugar means calories. No more Nyquil for me thanks! Well, unless I am desperate need of it..

I can't believe that they wouldn't put the caloric content on medicines like that. There are so many people who need to know how many calories they are taking in regardless if they are trying to gain or lose weight. This makes me angry. Wtf FDA?

Yup. Knew that. But I only take cough syrup when I'm very ill so it doesn't bother me. And honey (mine has honey not corn syrup) is better than weird fake sugar.

Protein
Don't reduce fats, or at least the healthy ones. Just get rid of processed/refined carbs, they are useless to your body anyway and are extra calories you don't need.
