I just went through a bout of Mono and while I was sick, I didn't try to lose weight. I was just happy maintaining. It's important to listen to what your body needs.
Good luck!

Hi Christine,
Try to first focus on what you eat and don't worry so much about the exercise. It's important but feeding yourself the right food is fuel to "fan the fat burning flame". I've always been an active person but that doesn't help me get the weight off, it only helps to maintain. The only way I lose weight is by closely managing what I eat. Now that I just turned 40 this month I have finally realized that it is a life long practice that I have to do in order to stay at a comfortable weight. I have 10 pounds to go and it isn't easy for me.

I have also recently struuggled with some health issues and it is hard to excersise when you are not feeling well. I find it even harder to eat healthy when my body is not working propperly. I crave carbs and sugar in any form to help boost my energy.
Because of this I have learnt the most important thing is to try your best to keep eating those fruit and veg and lean proteins. And if you really really need a pick me up control the portion sizeas much as possible.
Good luck. I hope you feel better soon.

All your advice is very helpful thank you,I follow the Rosemary Conley diet and also do her Fat Burner D.V.D,it helps knowing that there are others like me that are struggling.
Will keep going and know I will get there in the end it will just take me a bit longer
